The bees here in South West Kerry were flying this morning even though the true air temperature was only 4 degrees Celsius… but it is wonderfully warm in the bright clear sunshine. Some are already saying that it portends a fine Springtime; a true Spring, I hope, and not a false one which turns back into Winter just when the Queen bees start laying!
