The monthly Meeting of the Iveragh Beekeepers Association will take place on Wednesday 1st February at 8pm in the Ring of Kerry Hotel, Caherciveen – everyone welcome!!

If you are at all interested in bee keeping or would like to discover more about the fascinating life of the Honey Bee Workers, Queens and Drones; not to mention the production of Honey, Bees Wax, Queen Jelly, Propolis etc. then these meetings are for you.

We are a newly formed beekeepers group serving the needs of South Kerry in particular – and our Members and Associates have a great range of experience and knowledge, from enthusiastic new starters to those with lots more experience (but still learning, and still enthusiastic)!!

We are a very informal group and, even though we sometimes have to discuss boring business matters, we do our utmost to make our meeting an interesting and fun place to be (no puns on bee’s we promise… well, hardly any…). Having fun with the wonderful world of nature is why most people start bee keeping in the first place.

No obligation to join as a Member – but non-members (Associates) are charged  €2 meeting fee  for their 2nd and subsequent meetings. (Members pay a €15 annual fee to cover all the meetings they attend).
